Policy Revisions

The Antlers Public Library supports the American Library Association’s Library Bill of Rights, the Freedom to Read Statement, and the Freedom to View Statement. Our policies are not meant to jeopardize or inhibit these principles and statements.

The Library Board sets the policies of the Antlers Public Library as per Chapter 17, Article 3, Section 7 of the City of Antlers code which created the Antlers Public Library. The Library Board strives to develop fair policies for all library patrons. Federal, State, and City laws take precedence over any policy here stated.

The policies are continually reviewed and updated. Any changes are approved by the Library Board and become effective immediately.

Any challenges to the policy of the Antlers Public Library or disputes against the application of these policies should be emailed to the current Library Board at AntlersLibraryBoard@gmail.com. The concerns will be put on the next regularly scheduled board meeting agenda. Their decision after due consideration is considered final.
