Our catalog has suggestions for similar authors and titles. Just make a search for your favorite author or title, scroll to the bottom, and suggestions will appear.

What Should I Read Next makes great suggestions for all genres and Bookbrowse does the same.

What is the next book in the series? Kent library district has the answer with What's Next?

If we don't have your next read, we may be able to get that book, audio, or movie from another library.
Ask us about our inter-library loan service. You can also recommend a title to be added to the collection.

Public Computer Use

The library provides several computers for public use. These offer:

Internet access
Popular programs for word processing, spreadsheets, photo editing, and desktop publishing

General Information

Free to use: No library membership required
Printing available: Standard fees apply
Limit: Up to 2 people per computer
File access: USB drives and most common storage devices supported
Restrictions:
- No program installations or downloads
- Use is a privilege, not a right; inappropriate use may result in loss of access
- Staff can end a session at any time as needed
Assistance available: Staff can help with basic computer and internet use, but not with specific software or websites

Time Limits

No strict time limits
Each user is guaranteed a minimum of 30 minutes
After that, users may be asked to log off only if:
- All computers are in use and
- Other patrons are waiting
You may continue using a computer without interruption if you are:

Applying for jobs
Completing government forms
Doing schoolwork

Age Requirements

Adults (18+): May use computers freely. Proof of age may be required.
Minors (14–17):
- May use computers with a signed permission form from a parent or legal guardian
- Permission forms must be signed in person at the library by both the student and guardian
All minors: May use computers if a parent or guardian is present in the library during use
Student Exception: Students may use computers independently for:
- Accelerated Reader tests
- Researching or typing school assignments

Children’s Computers

We offer two touchscreen computers designed specifically for kids:

Ages 6–12: Elementary-level programs
Ages 2–8: Early childhood educational games
Each features over 50 pre-installed educational programs

Time Limits (Children’s Computers)

No time limits unless others are waiting
If more than two children are waiting, playtime is limited to 15 minutes per child before rotating

iPads with ABCMouse

We also have two touchscreen iPads with ABCMouse
Ideal for children who prefer to sit near parents

Printing Services

We offer affordable printing options from our computers or an email:

Black & white prints on standard paper: $0.25 per page image
Color prints on standard paper: $0.50 per page image
Color prints on photo paper (provided by the library): $1.00 per page

Please note:

Double-sided prints count as two page images
Bringing your own paper? That’s fine, but prices stay the same

Fax Services

Receiving a Fax

You can have faxes sent to the library at 580-298-3567.
Be sure the sender includes your name and phone number on the fax.
We’ll hold incoming faxes at the front desk for up to one week.
Cost: $1.00 for the first page, $0.50 for each additional page

Sending a Fax

You can send faxes from the library, too!
Just bring your document on single-sided 8½ x 11" paper and the correct fax number.
Cost: $2.00 for the first page, $1.00 for each additional page

Scanning

Need to scan something? We’ll help you do it for free!

We offer free scanning to PDF or image files
Bring your own flash drive, or purchase one here for just $1.25

Need something to save your files on? We’ve got options:

Flash drives – $1.25
CD-R or CD-RW in a slim case – $2.00
DVD+R in a slim case – $2.50

Just stop by the front desk and we’ll get you set up!

Copier

Need to make copies? Our black & white copier is ready to help!

It’s a full-function machine with:
- Duplexing (double-sided copies)
- Reduction and enlargement
- Collating for multi-page documents
Cost: Just $0.10 per page image

Laminating

Need something laminated? We can help!

We can laminate items up to 24 inches wide
The cost is $1.00 per foot

Lamination is done when time allows, so please note:

We can’t guarantee a completion time
We can’t guarantee final quality, though we do our best!

If you have a project in mind, just ask and we’ll walk you through the process.

Typewriter

Yes—we still have a real, working electric typewriter at the library!

Great for filling out forms, typing labels, or just having a little retro fun
It’s available for anyone to use—no charge

Kids love seeing how it works, and it’s a fun way to show them how things were done before computers!

Wii Gaming Fun

Looking for some fun? Our Wii console is ready for up to four players!

Games are available to check out at the front desk
Have your own gaming system that can hook up to our TV? Bring it in to update using our fast Internet
Please note: Only games rated E for Everyone are allowed when playing your own games

Grab some friends and come play!

WiFI

Need to get online? We’ve got you covered!

Enjoy free, high-speed Wi-Fi inside the library and all around the building
Available every day from 5:00 AM to midnight

No password needed—just connect and go!

Notary

We’re happy to share that Ms. Carla is now a certified notary public—and she’s offering notary services at no charge right here at the library!

Just stop by during regular library hours
No appointment needed

If you need something notarized when we’re closed, your local bank may also be able to help.
