The library provides several computers for public use. These offer:
Internet access
Popular programs for word processing, spreadsheets, photo editing, and desktop publishing
Free to use: No library membership required
Printing available: Standard fees apply
Limit: Up to 2 people per computer
File access: USB drives and most common storage devices supported
Restrictions:
No program installations or downloads
Use is a privilege, not a right; inappropriate use may result in loss of access
Staff can end a session at any time as needed
Assistance available: Staff can help with basic computer and internet use, but not with specific software or websites
No strict time limits
Each user is guaranteed a minimum of 30 minutes
After that, users may be asked to log off only if:
All computers are in use and
Other patrons are waiting
You may continue using a computer without interruption if you are:
Applying for jobs
Completing government forms
Doing schoolwork
Adults (18+): May use computers freely. Proof of age may be required.
Minors (14–17):
May use computers with a signed permission form from a parent or legal guardian
Permission forms must be signed in person at the library by both the student and guardian
All minors: May use computers if a parent or guardian is present in the library during use
Student Exception: Students may use computers independently for:
Accelerated Reader tests
Researching or typing school assignments
We offer two touchscreen computers designed specifically for kids:
Ages 6–12: Elementary-level programs
Ages 2–8: Early childhood educational games
Each features over 50 pre-installed educational programs
No time limits unless others are waiting
If more than two children are waiting, playtime is limited to 15 minutes per child before rotating
We also have two touchscreen iPads with ABCMouse
Ideal for children who prefer to sit near parents
We offer affordable printing options from our computers or an email:
Black & white prints on standard paper: $0.25 per page image
Color prints on standard paper: $0.50 per page image
Color prints on photo paper (provided by the library): $1.00 per page
Please note:
Double-sided prints count as two page images
Bringing your own paper? That’s fine, but prices stay the same
Receiving a Fax
You can have faxes sent to the library at 580-298-3567.
Be sure the sender includes your name and phone number on the fax.
We’ll hold incoming faxes at the front desk for up to one week.
Cost: $1.00 for the first page, $0.50 for each additional page
Sending a Fax
You can send faxes from the library, too!
Just bring your document on single-sided 8½ x 11" paper and the correct fax number.
Cost: $2.00 for the first page, $1.00 for each additional page
